In order to better stimulate the work passion of company employees, establish positive communication, mutual trust, solidarity and cooperation among employees, cultivate team awareness, enhance employees’ sense of responsibility and belonging, and showcase the style of Lesite Technology Co., Ltd. From July 19th to 21st, 2024, we conducted a three-day team building activity called ‘Walking in Chaoshan, Appreciating Culture’!
Coming to Guangdong without a tide is a waste of time. Passionate as fire, the tour bus carrying more than 60 employees and their families departed at the same time. The car was filled with laughter and joy, and a joyful and warm team building journey began. On the scorching July day, we immerse ourselves in the embrace of nature and search for a poem and distant place that belongs to the people of Lesite
The first stop is the Hanwen Temple, one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Chaozhou, to learn about Han Yu, one of the Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties, who made four major contributions to Chaozhou. The architecture of the Hanwen Temple is simple and elegant, with walls made entirely of polished bricks. The temple is divided into two entrances, front and back, with two corridors. The back entrance is seven feet high, with stone steps to climb up, and a statue of Han Yu is enshrined in the center. There are many couplets carved on the stone pillars inside the temple, and forty ancient stone tablets are erected around the walls, detailing the historical sites of Han Yu’s exile and the rise and fall of the poem.
Chaozhou Xiangqiao is very charming, with 18 shuttle boats and 24 continents. There are 24 buildings and 24 platforms, with two oxen and one slide. The second stop is to visit Xiangzi Bridge, the Binjiang Corridor tourist scenic area where historical traditional culture and modern civilization complement each other, and the ancient city walls of the Song and Ming dynasties. The exquisite and unparalleled design of ancient times makes us marvel at the wisdom of the ancients!
The third stop is to visit Kaiyuan Temple, one of the three major imperial temples in China – Chaozhou Kaiyuan Town Guochan Temple. The temple houses numerous cultural relics from various dynasties, treasures of the town temple, and a collection of Chaozhou architectural styles from different periods. It can be regarded as a treasure trove of Chaozhou cultural relics and is known as the “Three Thousand World Jungle” and the “Number One Ancient Temple in Eastern Guangdong”. Walking inside the temple, with double eaved gable roofs, red walls and blue tiles, solemn and magnificent scenery, it gathers the characteristics of Buddhist culture and local culture
The fourth stop is to walk through the tourist commodity street [memorial archway Street], which is the longest in China, has the most memorial archway arches, and integrates Chaozhou famous snacks, specialties, Chaozhou embroidery, wood carving, wax stone and other traditional crafts. It passes through the ancient folk houses and murals street [Jiadi Lane] in Chaoshan, where you can see the architecture of Sima trailer, Bainiaoyang, Sidian Gold and other buildings. Wandering in the memorial archway Street of the ancient city, you can feel the charm of the ancient city of “hundreds of years of commercial ports to the sea, thousands of years of ancient charm”. The history of the hundred year commercial port is spread in the light and shadow. Twenty two memorial archway and arcades have been set up by Jinshi of all dynasties. They are all silent and telling, and the glory of that year is extraordinary.
At night, everyone strolled and enjoyed the feast of lights on both sides of the river. Guangji Bridge was particularly dazzling under the backdrop of the light show, and the lights on the west bank of the Han River shone brightly at night, like shining night pearls in the darkness.
The fifth stop is to visit the Taifo Hall, located in Xiangqiao District, Chaozhou City. It is an ancient temple with a history of nearly 1200 years. It is the largest Buddhist temple in eastern Guangdong, and this ancient Buddhist temple has witnessed the prosperity and changes of Chaozhou, carrying the cultural memory of generations of Chaozhou people. The Thai Buddhist Temple is highly characteristic of Thailand, with a multi sided roof adorned with fish scale tiles, decorative mountain walls, and pointed doors and windows that embody the ancient Thai art form, fully reflecting the magnificent and exquisite exotic atmosphere. There is a special tranquility here that allows people to temporarily forget the troubles of urban life and find a moment of peace and comfort.
On the sixth stop, we arrived at Nan’ao Island, known as the “Chaoshan Barrier” and the “throat of Fujian and Guangdong”. It was praised by CCTV as an “oasis in the South China Sea” and is the only island in China with a national 4A level tourist attraction covering the entire island area! Only by crossing the 11KM Hainan Australia Bridge can one land on this small island blessed by the sea. From a distance, the sky above is like a long dragon swaying its agile posture on the blue sea. Blue sky, blue sea, green island, golden sand, and white waves are the main colors of Nan’ao Island. There are emerald like shallow beaches here; There is a blue sky, a still preserved rustic fisherman’s style, as well as photo spots such as the Tropic of Cancer Square, the Literary Lighthouse, the Vast Sky Viewing Platform, and the Windmill Group. With just a simple design, you can capture highly praised moments on your social media. Leicester companions use their footsteps to measure the fine and soft beach of Qing’ao Bay, playing in the waves, speaking freely, laughing heartily, allowing their hearts to truly relax and settle. When the sea breeze, white waves, fine sand, and laughter intertwine, they form a series of happy and unforgettable scenes.
The Gate of Nature: Blue sea and sky, sunshine and waves, and everyone’s smile, together capture the most beautiful moments.
The seventh stop is to visit Qihang Square. At the waterfront of Qihang Square, a tall ship anchor is erected. The antique bronze ship anchor witnesses history, tells the story of the changes in the sea, and looks back at the hardships and injuries suffered by the land of China. The word “Qihang” is the hope of the island and also the goal of us Lesite. We set sail towards the lighthouse of meaning, hoping that we will set sail with the lighthouse light as our direction, carry our dreams, and let Leicester be a lighthouse light to illuminate others.
On the eighth stop, we arrived at Shantou Small Park, which is a business card of Shantou in the 20th century. It witnessed the urban development history of Shantou from its opening as a port to the middle of the Republic of China. Here, we experience the historical thickness of architecture during the Republic of China era, and witness the fusion of Southeast Asian eclecticism, European Baroque, and traditional Chaoshan architecture on the distant eastern coast, which is unique to Shantou. The entire small park area is occupied by Republican style buildings, and being immersed in it feels like traveling back to the Republican era. At the corner of the street, it seems like an exquisite cheongsam beauty will appear in the next second to have a romantic encounter with you.
Chaoshan is such a charming city, with both breathtaking scenery and delicious food that can satisfy your discerning taste buds. Three days of travel companions tasted beef hotpot together, which was thick but not turbid, clear but not scarce, fresh and sweet, and left a lingering fragrance on their lips and teeth; Lion headed goose with exceptionally fresh and tender meat, full juice, and rich aroma; Smooth and plump, fresh and sweet Chaoshan raw pickling; Refreshing soup and tender rice noodles; There are also various surprising local snack collections: Chaozhou duck mother twist, soup money, oyster sauce, red peach cake, sea stone flower Every delicious dish is unforgettable.
This trip to Chaoshan not only allowed me to experience the breathtaking natural scenery, enjoy the joy and relaxation of tourism, showcase the corporate spirit, promote cohesion and teamwork among employees, but also felt the warmth and care of the company! I believe that in future work, everyone will meet new challenges with more enthusiasm and stronger cohesion, and work together to create more brilliant achievements.
